Beyonce KnowlesFull Name: Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Beyoncé Giselle Knowles is an American R&B vocalist and film star. Beyoncé gained her fame as one of the original members of the R&B group, Destiny's Child. This trio of singers became one of the top groups of the late 1990s and early 2000s with four number one hits and winning four Grammy awards for their efforts. In 2001, Knowles won the Songwriter of the Year award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers Pop Music Awards winning a total of six Grammys for here solo work. Beyoncé's next album, "B'Day", is due to be released on September 5th, 2006 in honor of her twenty-fifth birthday. This album features all new material written by herself. She has been nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards for Best R&B Video for here work on "Check It Out". Beyoncé has appeared in several feature films. In 2002, she appeared starred with Mike Myers and Michael Caine in the film, "Goldmember", which was the number one movie in America on it's opening weekend. Most recently, Knowles co-starred in the 2006 remake of "The Pink Panther" playing opposite Steve Martin. Again, the film reached number one on it's opening weekend. Knowles has completed the filming of "Dreamgirls", a successful broadway play about a 1960s vocal group, The Supremes. Beyoncé plays the roll of Diana Ross. This film should be released by the end of 2006. The future looks bright for Beyoncé.
